Homemade face masks are sometimes much better than the finished product from the drugstore, as they contain only natural substances. With home remedies such as fruits, milk, cream, flour and even eggs you can make fascinating face masks yourself! Our first recipe is for a refreshing mask with strawberries. It pulls the pores together and is just perfect for oily skin. You need 5 medium-sized strawberries, 2 teaspoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of yoghurt or cream (the cream is a good choice if your skin is a bit drier, if you have oily skin, yogurt is best). Take a small bowl and crush the strawberries with the fork. Add the cream or yogurt and the honey and mix well the ingredients. Apply the mask to the face, avoiding the eye area. After ten or fifteen minutes you can wash the mask off with warm water.

Make face mask yourself: Mask with aloe vera for pimples

The face mask with aloe vera is particularly effective on blemished skin and pimples. It heals the inflammation, dries the pimples and at the same time moisturises the skin. You will need the following ingredients: a leaf, away from the aloe vera plant (possibly a teaspoon of aloe vera juice from the drugstore), a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of cottage cheese. Cut the aloe vera leaf lengthwise so that you remove the jelly-like contents with the knife. Mix the aloe with the quark and honey in a bowl. Apply the mask to the face and wash it with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.

Face mask with cottage cheese and lemons for combination skin

The facial mask with quark and lemon is ideal for combination skin. It works against large pores, provides a fresh complexion and optimal moisture of the skin. All you need is two tablespoons of quark and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir the ingredients in a bowl. Apply the mask to your face with your fingers or with a disinfected paintbrush and wait 15 minutes before washing.

Make face mask yourself: mask with bananas for sensitive skin

Bananas are good for sensitive skin because they contain zinc and vitamins A, B and E. For our facial taste with bananas you need the following: a ripe banana, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of sweet cream, 1 tablespoon of oatmeal, 4 drops of rose water and a little mineral water. Crush the banana with the fork and add honey, flour, cream and rose water. If the mass gets too firm, add a little mineral water. Apply the finished mask to the pre-cleaned face and neck, wait 15 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.

Face mask with avocado for dry skin

Make yourself a wonderful Gesichtsmacke with avocado for dry skin! You need: ½ ripe avocado, 1 egg white and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Puree the avocado and add the egg whites and lemon juice. Spread the porridge evenly on the face and let it work for 20 minutes. Wash the mask with warm water.

Face mask with carrots against wrinkles

The face mask is very effective against wrinkles because it is rich in antioxidants (vitamin E and provitamin A). You need: 2 medium sized carrots, juice of half a lemon, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey. Cut the peeled carrots in small pieces and simmer until soft. Purée the carrots to a pulp and add honey, olive oil and lemon juice. Let the mask work for about 15 minutes.
