Cut the tomatoes and onions into cubes and squeeze the garlic. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan and sauté the tomatoes and onions for a while. Take another pot and steam the rice in the same way. Add the broth and about 75ml of water, and let the rice cook over low heat for about 15 minutes. Add the tomatoes and onions to the pan and let the dish cook for another 5 minutes. Rice dishes from Italian cuisine: Risotto with mushrooms

For 2 portions you need: 120g risotto rice, 150g mushrooms, two onions, one lemon, 450ml vegetable broth, two garlic cloves, 100ml white wine, two stalks sage, 20g parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into strips. Then cut the onions and garlic into thin cubes and bring the vegetable broth to a boil in a large saucepan. In another pot fry about 2/3 of the onions and garlic until they turn glassy. Add the rice and the white wine and let the mixture cook with constant stirring. Pour the warm broth into the pot and let it boil for about 35 minutes. When the rice is ready, heat Ӧl in a pan to fry the mushrooms. Add the remaining onions and garlic and season with salt, pepper and chopped sage. Mix the mushrooms with the warm rice, season the dish with lemon juice and sprinkle with the finely grated Parmesan. You need the following ingredients for 6 servings: 250g sushi rice, 1 tablespoon of mirin (special rice wine), 3 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Rinse the rice in a sieve until the water clears. Then bring the cleaned rice to a boil with about 500 ml of water. After 2 minutes, turn off the stove and let it simmer for another 20 minutes. Warm the rice vinegar and mirin, add salt and sugar, and season the boiled rice with this mixture. The food can either be served with a side dish of your choice, or to prepare delicious sushi rolls.

Making rice pudding: recipe from the Spanish kitchen

You need: 200g of rice, the shells of a lemon and an orange, 1 liter of milk, 100g of sugar, 25g of butter and 2 cinnamon sticks. Cut the fruit bowls into small strips. Bring the milk to a boil in a large saucepan and add the sugar, the skins, the rinsed rice and the cinnamon sticks. Simmer the rice pudding for about 45 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
